Dating back to the 1870s, this whisky sour recipe shakes Scotch whisky, lemon juice and sugar syrup together to create a cocktail that has stood the test of time.
50ml J&B Rare
35ml lemon juice
17.5ml sugar syrup
3 dashes of Angostura Aromatic Bitters
1 egg white
1. Fill a shaker with ice – if you don’t have a shaker, grab a large jar with a lid.
2. Add the J&B Rare, lemon juice, sugar syrup, 3 dashes of bitters and egg white.
3. Shake the mixture vigorously until the surface of the cocktail shaker feels chilled.
4. Using a cocktail strainer, strain the cocktail into a short glass.
